With your kids at home and searching for new activities and friends- now more than ever is a the right time  to keep them safe from those that seek harm.

Technology, including social media and classified websites like Backpage.com, are widely viewed as responsible for the explosion of sex trafficking in the United States. Our own research backs this up.

To make matters worse, predators are luring child victims through online communications — via tablet, phone, even video game consoles. And there, our children are being sold for sex. So how do we protect them?     Check out information provided by Shared Hope International

The Gracepacks Project:

YOU can help local trafficking survivors

Our Gracepack project gives Quad City Area survivors of human trafficking basic necessities after their rescue.

Attacking Trafficking fills 50 backpacks annually with toiletries, basic clothing and useful items.

Survivors frequently have only the clothes on their back, and those clothes are confiscated as evidence.

We need new T-shirts, sweatpants, underwear (all sizes). socks and hygiene products.

Each backpack also contains a washcloth, small blanket, stuffed animal and $10 gift card.

Braking Traffik/Family Resources ensures each survivor receives a Gracepack. This promotes a trusting relationship between survivors and their helpers.

Make financial contributions to: "Attacking Trafficking" 3510 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport, IA 52804. Leave Gracepack item donations at the Diocese of Davenport offices, 780 W Central Park Ave., Davenport.
